This post is an official entry for the  Del Monte Blogger Recipe Carnival Contest on Indiblogger

Coming back late from the office and making the biggest mistake of telling mom not to cook for me the previous day I was in a soup . I am a hardcore foodie and I love eating all the time. I love to hog on yummy food that I can cook up in minutes. When I reached home all that was left for me was two chapattis, one raw egg . And I wondered what to do with it sigh!!
Finally my hunger pangs made me cook up this innovative dish- spicy ,yummy, juicy and saucy EGG O ROLL.

I wish I could take the pics but I was so damn hungry that I could no longer think of taking pics, and so late that no one would have bothered to waste time for me..!! Any ways I am sure this Is something you would love to hog on.

Ingredients
1 onion (chopped)
1 tomato(chopped)
2-3 chillies(as per your taste)
1tbsp  chilli powder
1tbsp  turmeric powder
1 egg( how can I forget my savior)
2 left over chapattis or rather freshly baked ones

Del Monte Tomato Chilli Sauce (*that sets your tongue on fire*)

Salt to taste
Mustard Seeds
1tbsp oil
Steps to Beat Those Deadly  Hunger Pangs
Take a kadai  or a cooking bowl and put one 1 tbsp of cooking oil. When the oil gets heated add a spoon of mustard seeds. When they splutter add half of the total chopped onions and saute till they golden brown .OK now let me share a secret tip with you guys.. if you are hungry like hell and you cant wait for the onions to take its own sweet time to turn golden brown ,add a pinch of salt ..it fastens the process J.
Once the onions turn brown, add chillies and chopped tomatoes, sauté them till the tomatoes become soft.Add chilly powder and turmeric powder and sauté them . Let the onions and tomatoes absorb the masala and then when you think its done, break one egg into this mixture and scramble it.. keep on mixing till the egg gets cooked and is mixed well with all the masalas. Keep stirring for 2 -4 minutes. Once its done  take it off from the burning stove.
If its fresh roti, u can reheat it on low flame on the pan, till it becomes  slightly crispy. If you like it soft ,you can use the roti in the same way.  Take the hot chilly tomato sauce and spread it on the roti, spread the egg mixture on the roti, garnish it with raw chopped onions(you can use coriander leaves too if you wish)and add half a spoon again on the mixture  on it. Now roll it up. Do the same for the second roti and gobble up.Nothing can be more tempting than this juicy roll.
Optional:
If you want to make it a bit more spicy, you can add coriander chutney on the chapatti base over the tomato sauce spread.
You can also use chunks of cooked chicken to replace egg.

For coriander chutney :
1 cup Grated coconut
5 Chillies
1 cup Coriander
Add water to the mixture above and grind well. The chutney should be semisolid. Add water to suitably.

For Vegetarians:
You can replace the inner filling with left over aalu(potato)- gobi (cauliflower)sabzi or aalu sabzi

Serves : 1 hungry hog
Sorry couldn’t upload the pics.I was too hungry to do that ..As I have mentioned.

Try this out and you would shower me with all the blessings J

Simple and Saucy!!

Cry No More!!

Like every morning  Radha stood watering her roses in her garden. Her roses which she had planted with love and care. The roses were everything to her. The roses had become a part and parcel of her life .They had become an important of her life right from the day she had stepped into her marital home. They filled up the void in her life which her marriage to Mohan had created. She was busy watering the flowers and suddenly she heard Mohan calling her. She hurried, the pail fell down spilling the water .As soon as she entered the room Mohan blasted,   ”Who had come here in my absence?” Radha trembled and mumbled few words when SMACK!! Came a sound. Mohan had slapped her hard.

Their story goes back to their engineering days. Mohan and Radha had met during their engineering days in Mumbai. They both were classmates and were brilliant in their own fields. Like every teenager Radha too had dreamt of making it big in the IT industry. Mohan was obsessed with her beauty and wanted to have her as his wife. After getting placed , he had asked consent from Radha’ s parents for their marriage and this is what had impressed Radha. Radha being a homely girl had loved the way Mohan had approached and she herself had also secretively loved the young dashing Class leader Mohan. Being the typical shy girl Radha never opened up her feelings. Like every teenager Radha too had her own notions about her dream guy. She too had ideas about how her future husband and lover would be. And now she knew nothing about Mohan except for the fact that he was going to be her future husband.

They got married in a grand way and Mohan was placed with the Biggest IT firm in Bangalore and    earned a decent amount .He never wanted his wife to work .He wanted Radha to look after his household and child if they had any. Radha loved Mohan much more than any wife would love her husband and she had decided to quit her job as per Mohan's wishes. They moved to Bangalore immediately after marriage .She had taken an instant liking for the lilies in her new garden. Day by day Mohan had no time for her. She was restricted to the four walls of the house. She wasn’t allowed to interact with anyone .No newspaper guy,no milkman ever allowed to enter the bungalow premises. She led a lonely life. She thought all this was a part of Mohan’s love. One day the door bell rang, Radha ran to open the door thinking it would be Mohan who was back after a 5day office  trip to Thailand. She opened the door and found a man in his thirties.
He had come looking out for someone in the vicinity and was asking for  the correct address. He handed over a slip to Radha. The moment Radha took the slip, she heard  Mohan yell ,”Radha, what is this?”.He  yelled ,screamed and kicked the guy out of the house. He shut the door behind them  and slapped Radha hard.
“You whore!! This is what you do in my absence? This is what you do the whole day when I slog?”Radha tried to mumble in fear,”You are getting me wrong” This angered Mohan further and he kicked her ,slapped her ,pulled her hair. Radha was numb out of fear and didn’t know how to react. Her body no longer supported her to run out, nor did her voice helped her scream. She fell unconscious. She had never seen  this side of Mohan. Later on she woke up to the door bell ringing.,only to reallise it was late night and it was Mohan who had come after a late night party. She was in disbelief, she sobbed profusely whole night. No help came forward. Next morning as usual Radha got up early in the morning cooked for Mohan. Mohan seemed to be unapologetic for his behavior..And he never changed. He Thrashed Radha everytim,e she made a mistake in his terminology. Her mistakes would include  not getting things ready for him at sharp 7.Even 7.01 would end up Radha being thrashed, her talking to neighbours or her own parents and male relatives would end up in a weekful of thrashes. After all this domestic violence Radha always hoped Mohan would change. She would wonder at times why Mohan had married her...Was she just an object of sexual pleasure. She had always tried asking him these questions but the answers would be only in terms of fists and blows.

IT was two years of their marriage by now and  Radha had realized she was carrying their first child. She was ecstatic about it and wanted to tell Mohan about it.But she refrained from doing it because she was wary of his wrath and anger. She was happy that  she bore their symbol of love. She was happy things were going to change. She had thought she would tell him once he returned from his  Dubai official trip.
She thought the kid would change their lives for ever.  She waited for Mohan to come anxiously wondering what would be his reaction. Mohan had come early before the expected time and the door was locked when he returned.Radha had gone for her daily temple visit and on reaching home found Mohan fuming .Before she could tell her where she had been Mohan pulled her by hair and dropped her on the floor and kicked her wherever he could. The pooja thali fell on the floor and the floor was a silent spectator to the violence bearing marks of it.She yelled when he kicked her on the stomach, she cried out  that she was pregnant. She hoped the kicks and blows would end. But  that made Mohan even more angry and kicked her even more.He kept yelling,”Whose child is this ? It cant be mine you whore”  he banged the door and left the house in a fit of anger. She was there on the floor writhing in pain. When  she woke up an hour later she had an unbearable pain in her stomach. She had no one to ask out for help. She dragged her feet and some how reached the  hospital .The doctors declared that she had a miscarriage and the baby was gone. She wept  , her world seemed to doom ..She realized her life would no longer be the same. She wanted to be away .She wanted to run away..But she wasn’t a quitter. She had lost everything but still something in her wanted her to fight back.

CRY NO MORE PART2

Cry No More!!! PART 2

The death of her unborn child had killed something in her. Maybe it was the love that kept taking her back to Mohan. That love had died. Rather Mohan had died for her. He no longer seemed to exist for her. She felt all lonely and lost. She felt a vacuum in her engulfing her mind and body. She fainted and woke up sometime later on hearing her neighbor Smita’s voice. Her neighbor had come in to give the newspaper along with her baby. The sight of the baby made Radha weak and she broke down. She confided things in Smita. Smita was baffled by what she heard. She didn’t know what to tell Radha .She just said that she would be there in case any kind of help is needed. Days passed by Radha kept thinking about her life, her college days, the drastic turn life had taken for her,her baby ,her dreams.
Finally she decided that she wasn’t taking things lying down. She wasn’t the one who would bow down to this level of inhuman act. She could never take this fact that her baby was no more. She wanted to be free. She wanted to break all the bondages and fly high in the sky.She talked to her parents and they advised her not to take any drastc step of leaving her husband .Her parents worried about their social status and reputation in the society. They asked her to bear all her husband’s blows because they thought it was a husband’s right to hit or beat the wife the way he wants to. That day she realized even her parents are not  there for her.

She realized the ones whom she trusted of her secure well being aren’t there for her.She felt deceived. She wanted to be away from all.She didn’t care about anybody any further. She decided to split from Mohan and be independent. She wanted a DIVORCE!! She didn’t care anymore who supported her, what the society thought of her.The society never helped  her when she was kicked, when her baby died, when she wept. She no longer cared about any society. She was dead from within. She had died the day her baby died,  As usual Mohan was away on his official tour leaving Radha behind,so Radha got ample time to talk to lawyers.
When Mohan returned  back Radha had decided to talk about divorce and she knew Mohan would do every thing but wouldn’t divorce her.Who wouldn’t want a gal as dumb as an animal who silently bore all the blows and punches. But she was determined. She had decided she wouldn’t bear any more blows from Mohan. IT was over for her ,rather for them , for her baby  and herself

When Mohan returned and was lying on the bed ,Radha entered the room with a  can of kerosene ,kept it in the corner and said silently “ My child is dead. You killed my child” .Mohan lost his temper and blasted out, ”what did u say, u bitch?” He woke up and was about to rush to Radha when she doused him with  kerosene.Mohan was shocked to see what was happening.Radha  lighted a candle and went closer to his bed. She  bore no expressions on her face. Her face was blank .Her body showed marks of hits and blows. She said silently,”Mohan, I had loved u always right from  my college days till the day our baby died.I bore your blows and punches,I fought my loneliness, I bore your suspecting nature,.i bore everything. But when you k illed my child, yes Mohan MY CHILD ,since you don’t deserve to be a father., I lost all the love for you. One more step you move am going to set you on fire. Till date you mistook my silence for my weakness. I am not weak.My love for you made me weak .But my love for MY CHILD makes me stronger ,strong enough to even set you o n fire”Mohan lay numb begging for his life.Radha kept talking ,”I have had enough of you in my life.I want to be alone.i want to throw you out of my life. If you act smart your ashes would be flown down to Mumbai. You are giving me divorce. You  are going to sign these papers and accept all my terms and conditions “ Mohan hurriedly searched for a pen and without reading the contents of the papers signed them.  Radha yelled ,”Everytime you think of punching a woman you would remember me.”

Radha filed a case at the local police station with the help of Smita against Mohan .Accusations were levelled against him of domestic violence and murder.  Radha also submitted their divorce papers at the local court. Radha wanted to get justice for her baby ,  for herself ,for the every punch and blow she had received. The case went on for two years .Radha had started her life right from scratch and now leaded a team of thirty in a reputed IT company. She had built up her own life right from scratches .She had been a winner. She was waiting for the verdict of the court. Finally the verdict was out.Mohan was found guilty of all the accusations leveled against him. And was sentenced to imprisonment. She had emerged a winner.

Radha had won the court case and seemed ecstatic. That was the least she could do, get justice for an innocent soul. Radha walked out of the courtoom all happy  and    came face to face with Mohan while hes being whisked away by the cops after a span of two years. Radha walked up to him, faced him bravely for the one last time and SMACK!! Came a resounding Slap

But this time it wasn’t Mohan!!.......

Travelling In Mumbai Locals.....

Travelling in Mumbai locals can be everything  from being pleasant ones to being hectic ones. The local trains of Mumbai being the life line of Mumbai ; everyone has to use or rather have used this lifeline once in life. And me being the luckiest one on the earth I travel daily like many other lucky counterparts.
For people who don’t  know about the local trains in Mumbai, the trains have different compartments – General Compartment which usually can be occupied by both ladies and gents,; most dominantly occupied by the male population of Mumbai.we have the most dangerous and terror filled compartment ie.ladies compartment and then we have a separate luggage compartment ,first class compartments for both ladies and gents and a special compartment for handicapped and cancer patients. How considerate it sounds !! isn’t it ?In the peak hours , no one bothers about the class, no one dithers from being a luggage to being handicapped and using the specially designed compartments. Everything is forgiven, all rules broken are forgiven during the peak hours.. Does anyone have the guts to get into, the ladies compartment during the peak hours forget punishing the defaulters.

In the last so many years of my journey  I have come across so many  incidents – some funny, some irritating and some terrible ones. But still as it is said the show must go on or rather the journey must go on...I would enlighten the ones who haven’t traveled in a Mumbai local for any reason so far. There are these different species of ladies whom you would definitely find if you are travelling in A Mumbai Local.....

Source :http://mumbai-pushpa.blogspot.com

1)The Imaginative ones : These are the ones who always Imagine or hallucinate that there is always a lot of space inside and  one can get through in and find a comfy space to settle in..Duh!! if the train was empty .. Are we show pieces hanging on the foot board. These species will always try to push into and find some place which they would define as space.
    2) The Strong Willed :   These are the ones who wouldn’t budge once they sit somewhere. These species usually don’t prefer sitting on the seats. They prefer sitting down. These are the ones who wudnt budge come what may.Your bags hit them, you stamp over them, you walk over them ,your umbrellas poke them.... still you can’t move  them..They belong to ,”Maine ek bar jo commitment kardi fir to mai apni bhi nai sunti” types..Sitting down is their birth right and they shall have it....
   3) The fourth seaters:  I would like to enlighten them with the fact that Constitution hasn’t defined any such rights to the  citizens of India that you must place your bum on the 4th seat i.e the edge of the seat even if you know you are balancing over there. We flout so many rules and its okayyyyyy to flout this self created rule.So next time you see that already the seat is overcrowded with three donot ask people to move so that you can balance on the fourth seat.
   4)  Investigators:  These species ,the moment they get into the train they start asking people where they want to get down.If its your first time in the Mumbai Local don’t be scared this is quite normal and  just let the whole world know where you are going.. And the questions don’t stop coming..The same question would be asked  millions of times as every station passes by,If you are sleeping and you wake up to a pat , don’t worry its just some unknown faces asking you where you are going.. Don’t worry!! Just tell them  and they will let you doze till you reach your destination.
   5)  Stuntwoman: These species would give Lara Croft, the Kilbils  a chase for their money. They don’t wait for the trains to stop. They just jump into the running train and still land safely. This is something you would find impressive specially if you are a die hard action scenes fan.Watch out for these species..!! They are total paisa vasool ;)
6)Inquisitive ones: These species wouldn’t let you live your lives peacefully even if you are almost at the door..They would keep on asking you where you are getting down till they don’t get the answer that satisfies them. Their question would be normally like, ”Are  you getting down at the next station ?”  No, waiting here so that you could ask me every morning with that irritating tone of yours..DUH!!! obviously am getting  down at the next station.GRRR!!!
  7) The Foul Mouthed Ones: Their conversations begin with $#$@#%#$ and end with #@$@#$%. :P  Be whatever the situation, they find solace in $#@$#$@#$#$..  And  the most explicit ones you would have never heard ever in your life. These are the aggressive ones and right from a slight push or stamping on t heir foot would end up them  using the most abusive language. They end up making the men shy with this unique talent of theirs. And you said women are weaker sex!!yeah right!!!
   8)  Irritating Ones : This category is too big and covers a wide spectrum of our so called  weaker sex.
  a) The elbowing ones : They would elbow you throughout the journey for no fault of yours. And no one likes to be elbowed at odd places in crowded trains. So we give them this special place in this category.
   b) A feeling of their own ones: These species think they have a right over you and end up thinking you are their own. They would end up putting your hair to the front when they are irritated, They  would hold your back for balance. They would lean totally over you as if you are some non living support installed exclusively for them,They would hold the same handles wherever you keep hand. (I know you would find this behavior odd and end up thinking whether the person behind you is a lesbian ... by the time you are thinking this you  would find someones knee feeling  you...) Ok !! this happens.. don’t worry... this is quite normal.... carry on and enjoy the touch  :P
   c)  Roadblockers: These species will shoot up your blood pressure in the morning. These are the ones who would want to get down at the last station the train would ever reach but would stand in such a location right from the moment the train has started and  they would end up jamming the entire train.these kinds are the ones who are very largely and commonly found. These species often end up missing seats and stand  confused like dimwits... Easier to recognize...!!
d)Suspense Creators : These species are the ones who keep you wondering till the end as to whats going to come next. If you are waiting at the platform to board a train you would find the umbrella coming out, the bag flung out, the dupatta coming out and by the time you wonder to whom these things belong to..the suspense enfolds  and  they appear on the big screen all tired and exhausted. Thunderous Claps an d Applause for such a wonderful entry err.,,,exit!!!
  e)  Reminders :  These are the ones who would push you even before the train starts approaching and would keep saying  “Arey jaldi utarna!!”( get down fast) .. Duh!! As if I didn’t know !!!Their constant reminders would keep ringing in your ears till you don’t tell them to move forward.
  f)  Cry babies: These are the types who weep and wail in the crowd..not actually but they end up making funny noises ..These species deliver amazing dialogues  which would give script writers a chase for their money.. “Arey mar gai mai...( I am dead !!) – Ok good to know that  :P haha aaahhhhh!!!!(everything is a pain for them!).These species also use the funniest  English mostly..  eg.. Arey don’t pussssssss me... (Ok.. I wont pussss u.. I would just PUSH you ) :P
   g)  Stinky ones : Their armpits can be used as subjects for challenging any Deodorant company. Their armpits end up burning your nostrils for sure. You try to find solace in their hair and you realize armpit was a better option.. You pray for a fresher breath of air!! And do prayers get answered ina jiffy.. ???

  9) Party Gals : Nothing can stop these gals from partying hard. These species are found in groups and don’t be surprised if you find a plate of samosa moving over your head .Its your first day at work, you are in the crisp corporate attire and the  chutney for samosa  moves over your head..don't worry it’s going to land safely on the other end... You feel you are in a party even if you are not invited, even if you don’t get to eat a morsel...but you would get the feel of it for sure. Try telling them something over this programme of theirs and they would be worser than the beefy bouncers you find outside a pub...did you ever say women are weaker sex?? Did you eh??!!!

General compartments are also  crowded to the core but you wouldn’t see such things happening there. The only commotion is while boarding and then peace prevails. They indulge in reading newspapers ,discussing share markets ,playing cards etcetc... no one wants to balance themselves on the fourth seat..no one asks you where you are going...No one sits down..
The only place on earth where you can find women transforming into wo-mean  is here ie. Second class ladies compartment .  But then  life 3 cheezo se mazedar banti hai- Entertainment ! Entertainment ! Entertainment!!! And where on earth would you find such entertainment free of cost....
Nothings more entertaining than seeing two woman fight over a seat... wat say???

Review: I, Rama Age of Seers Book-1 by Ravi Venu for Blogadda

Review: I, Rama Age of Seers Book-1 by Ravi Venu for Blogadda
I, Rama
Age of Seers Book-1 by Ravi Venu
Immortality has a Price

This review is a part of the Book Reviews Program at  BlogAdda.com

This book is Ram’s Version of the Ramayaana and all the events associated with the same. Ramayana , one of the greatest epics ever has been retold with the writer trying hard to put in all the effects that one would have seen  in the tele serial Ramayana that used to be aired years back. The writer has tried to depict the story in such a way so that the reader ends up visualizing the different scenes.“The Age of Seers, Volume One” of Rama’s story, outlines how Vishwamitra andseveral others controlled the planet and made it secure for modern day humans. The entire story is in a flashback mode, sometimes Rama reminiscing about his childhood, with Lakshmana adding some small detail, and sometimes through another voice, like that of his father, Dasaratha, relating the story of his curse, or the sage Vishwamitra, relating the story of the demons. The story is on full pace from page to page neatly put in a way how Rama would have experienced every event in his life. The story is also about the way how the brothers were trained in warfare and other art forms.

What I found a bit discouraging was the darkness associated with the book. The cover is so dark and in no way represents Ramayana .Only once you read the name of the book that you get an idea as to what it is.As also Ram narrating the story is something I couldn’t digest. As also the story isn’t that gripping and captivating .I am someone who would love to see such stories on an idiot box i.e my tv rather than read the stuff. So that could be one of the reason why I wouldn’t have found the book captivating. But still I did find the story narration going dull at places.

One thing I liked is the statement written at the back of the book which is one of the main reasons why I chose to  read the book ,” There will be a time when men will fight among themselves in the name of God, when peace will fail; at that time a part of me will re-emerge ..”  Another thing that I liked is the author took the risk of experimenting with a topic as vast as this . I also liked the way about how Kaikeyi is portrayed as a strong lady, a woman of substance. As also i  found the book informative at places ,specially the death of Shravan which i wasn't aware of. So the book is informative. As also for people who have no idea about Ramayana and would want to have a brief idea about the same,This book is good for you.
Overall Review : Give it a Miss!!

Locks And Mane - Part 2!!

This is the prize winning entry for the Dove contest on Indiblogger

After crying my heart out about my hair in Locks and Mane –Part 1 , I have been given an other chance by Dove to weep and say it all about my once dull, frizzy, lackluster, snappy hair and several snappy moments associated with it .Amidst tears and woes, I would like to thank Dove for the wonderful hamper to cheer me up and make me feel someone cares for my hair, someone wants to make me look and feel great and beautiful.
Hair is one of the most important asset a person can have..Too much of it and too less of it both can leave you depressed ..sigh!! I don’t have too much of it ,neither do I have less of it but then whatever bits and pieces ( oh I mean strands!) I possess they have troubled me to the core till Dove happened. They have created embarrassing situations for me at places and I have bore them silently till my savior DOVE came knocking..

I would like to describe some of the snappy ( hair breakage ) moments with you which I still preserve and think of (when I have lots of work to do I the office :P)
Snappy Moments!!
At work: Washroom is one of the most important conference room of my professional life. That is one place where my friends and I gang up and discuss the last night happenings, all the gossips..The major discussions of life are taken there, right from the new film that is released to the new crush and his gal friend in the office, gossips about the bosses , moments of anger and frustration during appraisals etc etc... The list just goes on. Apart from all this juicy stuff makeup and hairstyling too takes a front seat in the IT campus washrooms. And one day as per my daily routine as I combed my hair and was just about to leave the washroom and what do I hear from the housekeeping attendant ,” kya kitna bal gira hai madam aapka... Mujhe abhi fir se saf karna padenga( what is this, its your hair all around.. I would have to clean it all again )L Ouch!! ... that was actually an OUCH moment!! Being praised so liberally in front of al the wannabes of my company was one of the most embarrassing scenes I was ever put into... GRR!!!
At home: DAD’s Drama!
My dad is a cleanliness freak and I can say he loves sweeping our home very often. He just can’t bear even a grain of sand coming in ...forget strands of Hair!!.. During my hair fall days (Locks and Mane Part1 days) whenever my dad used to sweep our home.. he would loudly announce “ the whole house is filled with her hair ,See there its flying“ GRR!! Those were the days I wished getting bald like Persis Khambatta and other female actors who had gone bald to make a style statement unlike me who wanted to go bald to get rid of the embarrassment.
During Stage Rehearsals: My patient Co performer
Being a bharatnatyam dancer I had to enact the scene of Draupadi being dragged and brought to the stage by Duryodhana where she Is stripped in front of everyone... I got the chance to play Draupadi(for a change Someone thought I had feminine qualities!!) .So there was this scene where I was dragged by hair by my co performer..Everytime we ended up performing the scene during the rehearsals ,she would come to me patiently, hand over the broken dry frizzy strands and say “Keep it,your property!”
I was more alarmed than sad or depressed when the quantity increased daily.. I started feeling there was more hair on my co performer’s hand rather than that on my head :P
This wasn’t the end of my apathy .. Marriages added to them more moments of despair and apathy.. PHEW!!
At marriages: Bitchy Aunties
Indian marriages are best known for gossiping about the bride, brides family ,and about other gals who come in for the ceremony.Hardly anyone is around to bless the couple .A major part of them wait for the ceremony to end and hog the delicacies, some are there just to bitch about the bride and some are there to bitch about ME!!! The moment they see me,no matter how indianly sexy I try to be ,paying no attention to my attire all they would talk or rather debate about my Hair..Sometimes it’s the length, sometime it’s the texture ,sometimes its about not oiling my hair, sometimes its about overshampooing my hair...but everytime it has to be MY HAIR!!They would exclaim sadly as if I have turned bald the moment the saw me,”Oh what has happened to your hair?”And then they would try to get in my mom’s attention to my hair by saying ,”Doesn’t she take care of it>?” And my mom would make an expression which clearly states” This gal is out of my control now... Sab iske DAD k pyar ka natija hai ..”(its all her dad’s fault.. its due to his over affection and love) As if the moment he stops giving me the much needed attention my hair would shoot up...
OHH how much do I dislike MY HAIR!!! L and those bitchy Aunties...
My hair once upon a time was like Rakhi Sawant – gained attention for all the wrong reasons :P
Emotional Senti Drama: My MOM!!!!
Hair is one of the favourite topics on which my mom can give lectures for hours. And whatever health problem you have ,she would find a connection with not oiling the hair be it cold or headache .. And when the topic is “MY HAIR” she goes all emotional... “What a beautiful hair she had... I had put in so much efforts..But this gal she never took care of it.. She cut her hair short.. “And she would continue cursing my hair stylish for cutting my hair short ..:P As far as I remember I never had strong lustrous hair before DOVE fell on my head and left my hair moisturized
... I have tried explaining my mom that my hair was never strong but in vain...
But recently when she dropped home from Delhi,I was surprised when she complimented me for my hair..Dove happened to me while one of my hairstylist suggested me the same and that was the end of my hair problems! Dove's damage therapy treatment works wonders on hairs.. Try it out gals!!
All thanks to Dove for making it beautiful than ever... Dove+MOM’s compliments = WOW HAIR!!!Now I get to hear no more bitching from aunties,no more liberal praises from the housekeeping staff,no more lectures from dad.... My hair breathes and has got a new life...Its all lively and superb!!!
Thanks to Dove !! What if am worth it, there has to be you to make me one JAnd here is the pic of my hair ta... da!!!!

Honor ?Dishonor ? WTF?

This post comes after watching Satyameva jayate’s todays episode and since I feel strongly about it , I decided to pen down my thoughts …

A gal from XYZ caste marries a guy of PQR caste ,decide to live their life happily , get killed cpz they have dishonoured their family ,they have dishonoured the rules of the society.... dishonor ??…really???

Where does the honor lie in honor killing? Where does the honor lie in killing their own children ,grandchildren.. Is this what we want to pass over the lineage .. this crime driven mentality??? Does the pride and honor get restored after killing two innocent people? Which pride and honor are we talking about..The pride to kill one’s own daughter and sister ..or the pride to make their life miserable..hunt them down as if they are criminals…. Which pride are we talking about.. ?

Who decides what is right ? Who decides what is wrong.? Who gives the society the right to impose such harsh decisions on individuals.. Excuse me.. Which society are we talking about.. ?The society which plays a mute spectator to thousands of gals being trafficked out for few penny.. The society which believes in harassing the daughters in law for dowry,,, The society which never reaches out to help an acid attack victim..Which society are we talking about.. The dead still society which doesn’t move or feel the pain of the people?

Who decides what is right for an individual.- a parent, uncle, brother, law?. Who sets up the very rules and policies defining this society? The parents who once gave life and then become thirsty for their own daughter/son’s blood..The parents which sell their own daughters to be free of tension..The parents who think a boy child was much better than a gal child… The uncle? The uncle who doesn’t bother to sell of his neice on the pretext of giving her a job..an uncle who doesn’t bother to kill your parents over plot dispute.. the uncle who gets you married to an elderly fellow for some meagre money... The brother? The brother who doesn’t think twice before raping his own sister...The brother who doesn’t think twice before killing his sister for property... The law? The law who takes years to announce the Verdict of the most gruesome crimes...the law that never punishes the guilty...? I don’t have the answers to these questions...Do you have them?

Are we supposed to listen to these people and bring our next generations into life.. Who decides my life and death? I don’t think I wish to give the rope of my life to those who don’t value life...The very essence of good living or living the right way is following the principles of humanity, love, injustice, peace, secularism etc... No other law ..no other decision by the panchayat or any other system stand above these valuable principles ...

My life Is mine.. I didn’t come to this world because someone wanted me to.. I was destined to come to life.. It was Gods Decision and he would decide how I would die and how I would live..Only he has the right to control the reigns of my life...

Though the questions would remain unanswered...all I would love to say is the society which boasts of honor and pride is nothing but an infrastructure built on unethical thoughts, injustice, lost humanity, ruthlessness etc which is not something one must boast about.. Listen to your kids.. Listen to them..what they want.. the society would never give you shelter if you are sick..the very society who would encourage the killing of your daughters and son,. would never bother to turn around and see what is your state.. For the parents all I would love to say is what love and affection do you talk of giving your children when you couldn’t even give them the freedom to choose their way of living..

Love is Freedom ! Love knows no bondages....
